The Eye of Terror (BCL Fan Made Expansion for Conquest LCG)

After the devastation of the Traxis Sector the fate of our Universe looks bleak. There are rumours that the Orks are massing for a 4th Armageddon War and that the Eldar head there too, seeking an ancient C’tan technology to destroy this universe in its entirety, whilst they plan to relocate to a new reality, known only as Universe L5R. It is a time that calls not for heroes, nor for champions, but for those willing to do whatever it takes to ensure the survival of mankind.

The remnants of the Imperial forces from the Traxis disaster gather at Cadia, licking their wounds and venting their anger. Clashes break out between the chapters and the Dark Angels depart in an apparent rage. The forces that remain, led by the Space Wolf Ragnar, are given a chance to redeem their honour - investigate the Ork incursion at Armageddon and perhaps the Emperor will see fit to forgive the Fall of Nectavus.

Adeptus Sororitas forces are sent, along with Inquisitors and Daemon Hunters, ostensibly to bolster the Imperial armada, but some whisper that the Emperor no longer trusts the survivors of Traxis and the Space Wolves themselves are under investigation and threat of purging. Others suggest that the Imperium, guided by the Emperor’s own visions, has finally decided to seek out the truth at the heart of the Dark Angels’ secrecy, and they believe that the now missing Vezuel may hold the key to the Dark Angels’ lies, to the Rock, and perhaps to stopping the end of the universe. Regardless, the forces of man gather at Cadia, ready to launch for Armageddon. And yet many of them will never make it.

For even now, Baa’rzul gathers fresh troops and new weaponry as he salivates over the fleet slowly massing at Cadia, within touching distance of the Eye of Terror. He has made an unholy alliance with the master torturer Urien who also seeks the knowledge Vezuel is rumoured to hold. And the fleet at Cadia, so unawares, so riddled with internal strife - such an easy target.

Cato joins Maksim in his Baneblade to plan the defense of Armageddon, a planet they will not reach for many weeks, if at all, and yet they neglect the defense of Cadia, the very ground upon which they stand. Daemons and slavers pour out from the Eye of Terror, and so begins the last war of our time...

  5. Its a shame urien plays so badly on octgn, cause these are great for him!

Was the salamander meant to be loyal? Marines and Gorzod can now get guardsmen, as well as starblaze who im guessing this was designed for.

None of these cards seem worthless, which is an achievement in itself as every ffg pack had some dud cards.

Its going to be an interesting league!

    1. Nope, not meant to be loyal. FFG gave us the ability to put Khymera in Eldar or Chaos, Snotlings in AM or Chaos and Cultists in Orks or Dark Eldar. So now Orks and SM (and Starblaze) can have Guardsmans!

  6. My only gripe is the artwork on the Eldar attachment 'Lasblaster'. It shows a Dire Avenger armed with a shuriken catapult, can it not be changed perhaps to a Swooping Hawk armed with say.... a Lasblaster??? Or perhaps an old school Guardian? That minor gripe aside, i'm loving the effort put into this, you guys have really stepped up! Kudos <3

Is this like "sigh...Tau still suck" or "sigh...i hate facing Tau and now I have to put up with this new OP shit"?

    2. It is kinda unfortunate that one of the Tau cards can only be played with Starblaze.

    3. This is true, but there have been cards made before that were for just one warlord (example: orbital city). Yes, technically you can put Orbital City in Shadowsun or Starblaze but I have no idea why you would. We just felt that Starblaze needed the boost.

  8. My only thought is the slaves for DE shouldn't have a command icon. They should just be as they are without one. DE has a slight command problem and I feel making throw away units like this rectifies one of the few downsides they have.

  9. Belial and We are the guard looks really troublesome to face against. We are the guard going for a 2 shield icon looks pretty crazy. Belial looks pretty strong even without the resurrection option.

  10. In testing neither seemed overpowered, but, are they strong cards? Absolutely.

  13. Given the current ongoing 40k storyline, I would love to see a Roboute Guilliman warlord card.

  14. Any chance you can upload images for printing sites that include a bleed area? I've been warned by the service I'm using (www.makeplayingcards.com) that I will likely get white lines on card edges using the provided files. Thanks.

  15. Interesting cards, but you need to change the fonts to be consistent with FFG cards (e.g., use upper case for traits). Without this, the cards do not go well with the original cards, and this detracts from the game. These have some potential if you fix the fonts.

  18. Seconding a request for the files. I’d really like to have these professionally printed, but the links don’t work anymore.
