90% of all Conquest players never read the tournament rules. Don't give up on yourself. Read the tournament rules ( https://images-cdn.fantasyflightgames.com/filer_public/dc/f7/dcf77b16-d4e1-4f1e-8374-2113d6d6e7da/whk_tournament_rules_v21_high_res.pdf ). Page 6. ;)
• Strength of Schedule: A player’s strength of schedule is calculated by dividing each opponent’s total tournament points by the number of rounds that opponent has played, adding the results of each opponent played, and then dividing that total by the number of opponents the player has played. The player with the highest strength of schedule is ranked above all other players in the group not yet ranked. The player with the second-highest strength of schedule is ranked second among all players in the group not yet ranked, and so on.
• Extended Strength of Schedule: A player’s extended strength of schedule is calculated by adding each opponent’s strength of schedule and then dividing by the number of opponents that player has played. The player with the highest extended strength of schedule is ranked above all other players in the group not yet ranked. The player with the second-highest extended strength of schedule is ranked second among all players in the group not yet ranked, and so on.
It's kept secret so that players, whether they committed to a warlord or not, don't know which warlord they'll face in their next match. At an "in real life" tournament of this size you wouldn't know who everyone is playing and wouldn't know for sure what warlord you'll face next until you sit down. Plus, because this is online and spread out over so long of a time, one could tweak his deck specifically to tech against a certain warlord. Hope this makes sense.
Sometimes people have a brain fart and submit their result twice. Don't worry. I check for this and will fix before the next round of matchups goes up.
Any chance you're going to be putting warlord commitment on this sheet, or is that the secret sauce?
ReplyDeleteSecret sauce, baby

ReplyDeletePM me if you need me to tell you...and get a pad an pen next time ;)

ReplyDeleteWhy is warlord commitment secret sauce? The players that didn't pledge aren't eligible for the prize, why double punish them?

DeleteI might be confused but how has one player managed to play two games already?

DeleteThese standings seem all messed up right now! For example it says sammann11 played Zarathur, and Kingsley actually played any games.
ReplyDeleteThe players are sorted wrong acording to SOS and points
